Did you know that there are ways that you can find opportunities in the struggle?
It’s hard to see this because it’s not uncommon that during a crisis anxiety and fear overwhelms you. You’re feeling a bit out (or a lot) out of control because you’re not finding the answers or a level of comfort to quell these intense feelings.
So, what can you do at this moment? A lot. But, what first needs your attention is to practice more mindfulness. In the midst of this pandemic, we’ve been forced to practice mindfulness. Everyone’s moving a lot slower, spending extra time washing your hands, observing how you move with not just your body but others. You’re more watchful, a bit more alert.
This is midnfulness.
You’re treating yourself and others with a bit more care and compassion (hopefully). Sure, it’s easy to focus on the things that are going wrong. However, if you’re someone who is already focusing on what’s going right, it doesn’t mean you’ve dismissed the other side of the coin.
It’s recognizing that you have a choice. It means you can learn to shift you’re energy because some of you are doing it right now.
What does the world need now? The world needs more love, compassion and mindfulness.
Whenever challenges come your way, ask yourself where is the opportunity here? Now, in this COVID era, the opportunity is mindfulness.
