The Road To Transformation
I know all too well about how difficult change is. I know too well how life has the ability (and will eventually) derail you. But, what I do know is not all storms come to disrupt your life, some come to clear your path. Transformation is possible. Change is possible.
Living a life, you’re proud of is possible. But, evolving is a painful process. It requires a level of discomfort that most fear to embrace. I worked as a clinical social worker for many years, and I’ve seen everything. But most of all, I’ve seen redemption.
What price are you willing to pay?
At 232 lbs for a several years, I said enough was enough.
Quit that job that's destroying you.
After working for so many years, I burnt out. In 2013, I quit my job and took a break from social work. From there, I did everything out of alignment. But, the more decisions you make (and quickly) the more feedback you receive.
Then in 2016, my father passed away unexpectedly, and my son went off to college. With a history of depression and anxiety, I didn’t let it stop me. However, I had more healing to do.
A one-way ticket changed my life.
I bought a one-way ticket to Thailand and lived abroad for three years. My life has never been the same. Thanks for the discomfort. Since then, I've been to 17 countries. I've lived in Thailand, Japan, and briefly in Indonesia.
Our chief want is someone who will inspire us to be what we know we can be.
––Ralph Waldo Emerson
