5 Powerful Myths That Prevent You From Real Change2 min read

I want to share with you five powerful myths that prevent you from real change. These myths are also known as false beliefs.

They’re what’s keeping many of you from moving forward, from getting unstuck, from understanding and identifying your thinking patterns so that you can change your behaviors.

Many myths are circulating about the whole process of changing and healing. It can often seem like a pretty daunting thing to do. Maybe you think it’s too difficult, or perhaps you know somewhere deep down that it’s possible, but you feel like you can’t seem to make it happen.

I understand because this process has been a learning curve for me as well. I’ve had my moments of veering off and needing to correct myself back on track.

It’s worthwhile, though, not only for a sense of peace and harmony in your life but also for a deeper connection to yourself. So that you can live a life more boldly with alignment and purpose, this will help you rise and thrive.

Myths are so powerful because they guide us when we are too afraid to leap into the unknown.

These myths are some reasons some people wait years, even decades, to begin their journey. These myths helped me feel safe and secure about staying where I was at one point in my life.

You’ve heard the saying that if you keep doing what you’re doing, then you can expect to get what you’re getting. That doesn’t sound too good for those of us who want more, and we all do.

At some point, you decide that you’re “stuck,” that there is something that you need to do. Maybe it’s your mental health or your physical health. It could be about relationships or money.

These myths are the missing puzzle pieces you need to break to have your breakthrough. I’ve worked with many clients where these myths show up time and time again. These are the 5 myths preventing them from real change:

  • Myth #1 It’s just the way I am. I’ve always been this way.
  • Myth #2 I don’t have control of my feelings.
  • Myth #3 I feel selfish for wanting things to be different in my life.
  • Myth #4 I’ll never find motivation.
  • Myth #5 I can do it by myself.

I created a video to get you started on dispelling these myths so you can make forward momentum in your life.

The beautiful thing about these myths (or false beliefs) is that you can change them and replace them with new ways of thinking. When you do that you ultimately change your behaviors. Then when that happens, your entire world shifts. From there, you’ll create change that lasts.
